Privacy Policy Statement
Last updated: November 2026
Ever-Health Integrated Chinese & Western Pain Centre (the "Centre", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal and medical data. This Privacy Policy Statement explains how we collect, use, retain and protect your data. Please read it carefully.
1. Collection of Personal Data
When you book our services, receive treatment or submit an enquiry on this website, we may collect your personal data, including but not limited to:
- Basic identity information (such as your name, sex, date of birth, and part of your Hong Kong Identity Card number for verification).
- Contact details (such as your phone number, email address and correspondence address).
- Medical and health records (such as past medical history, allergies, X-ray or MRI reports and current medication), so that we can assess and treat you appropriately.
2. Purposes of Use
We collect your personal and medical data mainly for the following purposes:
- To arrange appointments, provide medical diagnosis and plan physiotherapy or Chinese medicine treatment for you.
- To create and maintain your medical records so that our team can follow up on your case internally.
- To contact you, including confirming appointments, sending treatment reminders and replying to your enquiries.
- To process payments, issue medical receipts (for insurance claims) and handle Elderly Health Care Voucher claims.
3. Confidentiality and Security
3.1 Strict confidentiality: All your medical records and personal data are kept strictly confidential. Only authorised clinicians and relevant staff may access your data, and only when necessary for their duties.
3.2 Security measures: We take appropriate physical, electronic and administrative measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, accidental loss or disclosure.
4. Disclosure and Transfer of Data
We will never sell or rent your personal data to any third party for direct marketing. We may disclose your data only in the following circumstances:
- With your explicit consent (for example, sending your medical report to your insurer or another specialist at your request).
- Where required by law or regulation, or to assist a lawful investigation by a law-enforcement agency.
- In a medical emergency, to protect your life or health.
Service providers: To run this website and handle bookings, we use trusted third-party services, for example Google cloud services to store online booking form data, WhatsApp to communicate with you, and Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure website and advertising performance. These providers process data only on our instructions, and their servers may be located outside Hong Kong.
5. Use of Cookies
When you browse this website, we may use cookies to collect non-identifying statistics (such as browser type, pages viewed and time spent) to improve how the website works and your experience of it.
This website also uses Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors find us and to measure advertising performance (for example, how many people book or contact us through an advert). Google may use this to show relevant adverts to people who have visited this website. You can refuse cookies by changing your browser settings, or turn off personalised adverts in Google's ad settings (adssettings.google.com), but some parts of the website may then not work properly.
6. Data Retention
Medical records are kept for the periods required by applicable law and relevant professional codes. Enquiry data submitted through the website by people who do not go on to become our patients is kept only for a reasonable period needed to handle and follow up the enquiry, and is then deleted.
7. Direct Marketing
We will use your name and contact details to send you treatment offers or health information only with your consent. You may ask us to stop at any time by WhatsApp or phone, free of charge.
8. Access to and Correction of Personal Data
Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR, you have the right to request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you. To exercise this right, please make a written request by WhatsApp, by phone or in person at the Centre (Shop 7-8, G/F, Block 1, Hoi Luen Plaza, 9 Wo Muk Road, Fanling, N.T., Hong Kong). We may charge a fee that is not excessive for handling a data access request.
This policy is available in Chinese and English. If there is any inconsistency between the two versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
